Nikki, a talented young Bahamian artist, creates 'oriental inspired' Anime and Manga art, under the moniker 'PyroPanda'.

Her latest project is a bit of a departure for her as she was asked to design the 2006 high school graduation class logo.

We're really proud of the work that young Nikki is doing on her blog: Bahanimation.

However, she's got her High School finals coming up soon and will not be able to devote as much time to developing her art work.

So for a while, at least, most of the pieces presented on her site will be from her portfolio created over the last 2 years.

If you like 'Manga' and 'Anime', I think you'll agree that there's some pretty nice stuff posted on Bahanimation.

Why Bahanimation?

Well, she's from The Bahamas and she's into animation.

Pyro Panda - Self Portrait
Our latest contributor is 'Pyro Panda', Nikki who is a young anime artist with a great deal of talent.

She's been blogging her stetches and ideas for about a week now and has already received some excellent reviews.
She's named her blog: Bahanimation, because she's Bahamian and its an animation site.

I think that some of her work is exquisite and you can see a lot more of it by clicking on 'Bahanimation'.

Bahanimation is up and running.

This site, as the name suggests focuses on Bahamian Animation and is aimed at showcasing the country's small group of extremely talented young artists.

As it opens, the site is only displaying the work of a single young Bahamian - 'Pyro Panda' but it is hoped that eventually it'll display a range of works by a number of local artists.

Pyro Panda's style is a sort of Caribbean/Japanese Anime fusion, energetic while still innocent in its portrayals.
The first couple of pages are very encouraging and show that she certainly has talent. It'll be interesting to see how the site develops.
